After four wonderful nights at Point Hudson Marina and RV Park, we moved on to nearby Fort Worden State Park where we began the nomadic phase of our two-week vacation. A local authority now handles the reservations for the park, and they use a partially manual method. After a reservations staff member failed to correctly record our reservation, I managed, a couple of weeks later, to still get us in the park for nine nights, but only by staying in six different campsites.

Our nomadic reservations had us in 32 (2 nights), 1 (1 night), 67 (2 nights), 41 (1 night), 28 (2 nights), and 30 (1 night) |
We had walked everywhere while at Point Hudson, so we were both looking forward to getting on the bikes to do some exploring. Our first trip out in the late afternoon found us poking around the beach.

Campsite 32 - Fort Worden
Located near the beach, the campsite was very spacious (more like crazy huge). The grass was brown due to the drought. The downside was no Wi-Fi.

Battery Kinzie under the trees |
It was nice to be settled in at Fort Worden, and we were both looking forward to exploring some of the bike paths, and checking out the batteries and bunkers the park is famous for.
