A Schooner and 1889 Bricks

One advantage of site #302 was having the one-hundred-year-old schooner Martha berthed outside our front window.

The Schooner Martha Foundation keeps the boat at Port Hudson Marina.  You can learn more about the foundation and the schooner at www.schoonermartha.org
During our two weeks stay, most of our fellow campers changed sometimes daily.
Our route to town meant walking around the marina and then up Water St.
Situated on the banks of Admiralty Inlet, walking around Port Townsend always provide beautiful views.
Walking down Water St. with its tree-covered sidewalks and its plentiful shops makes for a delightful stroll.
The Palace Hotel located in the 1889 Captain Tibbals Building.

A walk from site #302 to the crosswalk at the ferry landing and back is a nice 1.7-mile jaunt.
