Morning Haze |
With my normal morning, 2,500 meters swim interrupted by our RV trip, I took up walking before going to work online. On this morning the news caught up with us in Anacortes. We'd been hearing about fires in California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, but it had just been news. On this morning it became real.
The air smelled of smoke. It was the smell of burnt wood as opposed to burnt grass. The eyes burned, and the sky had a pinkish brown color. My walk ended early out of fear that the air was unhealthy.
